About

I’m an academic interested in how we think about the future and how we connect it to the past. I’m currently at the UCL Institute for Sustainable Heritage, part of the Bartlett, where I lead our Future Heritage research strand and our MSc in Heritage Evidence, Foresight and Policy.

Before joining UCL I did scenario planning and horizon-scanning for the UK Civil Service, leading teams in the Government Office for Science and the Department for International Trade, developing foresight capacity across government.

Before that I was an independent futures consultant based in Singapore, working with government agencies, educational institutions, and private companies, and the UNESCO foresight team.

Before that I was an education researcher, based in Bristol at Futurelab, exploring games and learning, mobile learning, and education futures.

And before that I was at the BBC, making websites for the education and documentary teams.

This is a personal site. Nothing here represents the opinion of anyone mentioned above.
